Welcome to the City of Park Hills’ website!

Nestled in the rolling hills of Northern Kentucky, Park Hills is a cozy city of approximately 3,000 people. It is located just a few minutes from Downtown Cincinnati, but still enjoys the tranquility of a park-like setting. With the added convenience of nearby shopping, sporting events, concerts, and more, Park Hills truly has the best of both worlds.

Our city is one of the area’s original car-and-trolley suburbs, developed in the late 1920s.  Two of the original stone trolley stop shelters are still standing in Trolley Park. Recently, most of Park Hills has been made a National Historic District;  giving its residents tax credits for property improvements without onerous restrictions.

Park Hills is a small city but still gives its residents its own police, fire and public works service.  The majority of homes were built between 1939 and 1959 with styles ranging from Tudor to Spanish Colonial to Craftsman bungalows.  The city abuts The 700 acre Devou Park, which is widely known as a haven for hikers, golfers, bicyclists, or just casual picnickers.

Park Hills is also fortunate to be home to two educational Blue Ribbon Winning Private Catholic Schools; Notre Dame Academy for females, and Covington Catholic High School for males. Both of these institutions are known for their strong academic programs, as well as their athletic success.

Those who live and work in Park Hills are extremely proud of their community. There are countless volunteers that donate their time for the city. From the citizens who work to keep the green spaces beautiful, to the volunteer fire department that helps keep the citizens safe, Park Hills residents pride themselves in giving back to their community. Residents are provided with a wide range of activities, including an Easter egg hunt, Memorial Day Parade, citywide picnic, “Hallo-weenie Roast,” and Christmas Luminary Night. These events are one reason why Cincinnati Magazine listed Park Hills as one of the “10 Great Neighborhoods You’ll Want to Call Home.”

We invite you to see for yourself why many consider Park Hills to be the best kept secret in Northern Kentucky!
