Officer Aaron Noel Receives DUI Enforcement Award

Park Hills Police officer Aaron Noel was recognized this month for his efforts in DUI enforcement throughout 2010. Officer Noel was presented with a plaque by Chief Schworer for earning the 2010 Governor's Impaired Driving Enforcement Award. His efforts in keeping our community a safe place are very much appreciated. The Park Hills Police Department encourages the community to assist the department by reporting any apparent DUI’s. Motorists can call 911 if they are following a suspected drunk driver. It is important to stay on the line and provide a license plate number as well as direction of travel. It is also imperative to maintain a safe distance from the driver and wait until an officer is on site before disconnecting with dispatchers (unless the caller’s personal safety may be in jeopardy). Driving under the influence killed 10,839 people in alcohol-impaired driving crashes last year (NHTSA).
